Get Direct Access

New law allows patients to receive treatment immediately following an injury without visiting a Medical Doctor.

In the state of Florida, it is no longer necessary to see a Medical Doctor to initially prescribe treatment for Physical Therapy. This law was passed to directly benefit you, the patient, in getting speedy treatment for whatever musculoskeletal injury or dysfunction you may have. As a patient, you can directly access Physical Therapy services for up to 30 days without a prescription. This speeds up the time it takes to get you the treatment you need during the vital first few weeks after injury.

To take advantage of Direct Access give us a call today. We will set up an initial evaluation and figure out exactly what is causing your pain. If you have a Primary Care Physician or favorite MD that you are concerned about being left out of your treatment, worry not. You provide us the name and we will ensure that our initial evaluation is faxed over to them in order to maintain lines of communication and a complete medical record. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Physical Therapy Benefits

Reduce Recovery Time

Recovery time can be shorten with the help of physical therapy. Injuries involving muscle, ligament or joint  can cause that part to get stiff and immobile. Without  proper exercise patients can take a long time to regain full mobility in the affected area. Improving mobility and motion, essential to your quality of life.  Whether is an everyday task such as taking the garbage,  or an essential activity like work physical therapy can help you get back to enjoying life. Physical therapy  can also prevent injuries by improving strength, flexibility balance, and coordination.

Pain Management
Physical therapy can help control pain, often reducing the need for long-term medications. Studies reveal that individuals who receive physical therapy experience greater improvement in function with less pain. While recognizing that medications is an essential component in the management of many acute and chronic conditions, physical therapy can provide an alternative to long-term use of medications for the management of pain and certain other health conditions.
The following are health conditions commonly seen by a physical therapist:

  • Back Pain
  • Dislocations
  • Foot Injuries
  • Balance and Coordination
  • Fractures
  • Hand Injuries
